Introduction

The Buildings & Grounds Division seeks a committed team player with a track record of exemplary customer service skills. In this pivotal role, you will be providing accounting support through the creation of purchase orders, paying invoices, reconciling p-card purchases, and training others on the proper accounting processes that must be followed. The County uses a financial ERP system to manage procurement and accounts payable processes. You will be tasked with working with the County accounting system and be relied upon as an expert on the system to support the division. You'll be integral to fostering close collaboration among supervisors and various units including maintenance hubs, custodial services, mailroom operations, print shop, contracts, and administrative teams.

The duties will encompass learning the County financial system, reviewing balances, reconciling various financial records, processing vendor invoices, generating purchase orders, managing cash reports, and handling travel arrangements and for the division. Additionally, you'll investigate any discrepancies that arise and compile, prepare, and maintain an assortment of reports, financial data, pricing sheets, and related information.

Minimum Requirements :

High School Diploma or G.E.D. and 3 years of related experience.

Preferences :

  • Two or more years of experience processing purchase orders, invoices and preparing bills for payment with correct verified coding, using automated systems.
  • Experience using excel to create spreadsheet
  • Experience using an Oracle based financial system.

Work Schedule :

Monday-Friday between the hours of 8 : 00am to 5 : 00pm.

Starting Salary Range :

28.32 - $36.50
