Community Services is seeking a highly motivated individual to work in the Administrative Team as a Medical Scheduler in either the Manassas or Woodbridge location.
About This Role
This role involves providing comprehensive support for medical and behavioral healthcare services. Key responsibilities include providing excellent customer service, care coordination, and appointment scheduling. This role is responsible for providing essential coverage in a busy call center, along with assisting clients face to face, and staff requests. This position also requires working closely with other administrative teams and providing support in other administrative areas, such as Front Office and Medical Records.
Minimum Requirements
High school diploma or G.E.D. and 2 years of experience scheduling in a medical environment.
Preferences
1 year experience in call center environment
1 year experience in clerical/administrative support
Experience with multi line phones, using electronic health records to schedule and outreach to schedule and reschedule appointments
Knowledge of HIPAA and 42 CFR
Special Requirements
Must possess a valid driver’s license.
Must pass DMV record check.
Must pass TB test.
Offer of employment is contingent upon the candidate passing a fingerprinted-based national criminal history record check.
Child Protective Services Requirements: effective 1999, mandated by the Virginia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services (DBHDS) in accordance with 12VA35-105-400 rules and regulations for DBHDS Licensed Providers and related to the Criminal Registry Checks, a search of the registry of founded complaints of child abuse and neglect will be conducted by the Virginia Department of Social Services.
Work Schedule: The work hours will be Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM with an hour lunch.
Starting Salary Range: $25.44 – $36.98 hourly
