Our services are provided in the office and in the community. We are seeking qualified applicants to fill our full-time Clinical Services Caseworker (Therapist II) position. Successful candidates will have experience and success in treatment and recovery evidence-based practices. The candidate will have success in providing services to adults with a Serious Mental Illness and/or substance use disorder, knowledge of recovery model practices and the ability to provide various individual and group services (psycho-educational, social and skill building groups).
We are located within easy commuting distance from Washington, D. C., Northern Virginia and surrounding counties. This position qualifies for a hiring bonus of $5,000. This bonus will be paid in two equal installments as funds permit. The first installment of $2,500 is payable on the pay date after ninety (90) days of employment have been completed and the final $2,500 installment will be payable on the pay date following the completion of probation.

Must possess a valid driver's license;
Must pass DMV record check;
Must pass TB test;
Certification in First Aid and Cardiac Pulmonary Resuscitation, as required;
For MHCM position: Must be eligible to obtain L.C.S.W., L.P.C., or Licensed Clinical Psychologist in Commonwealth of VA within 2 years
Master's Degree may be necessary as program requirements stipulate;
Offer of employment is contingent upon the candidate passing a fingerprinted-based national criminal history record check.
Child Protective Services Requirements: Effective 1999, mandated by the Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services 12VA35-105-400 rules and Regulations for Licensing Providers by the Department of Behavioral Health and Development Services related to Criminal Registry Checks, a search of the registry of founded complaints of child abuse and neglected maintained by the Department of Social Services.
Starting Salary Range: $76,069.50 - $ 90,372.75

About This Role
- Provides mental health, substance use and co-occurring case management to adult clients.
- Provides treatment services to include comprehensive assessments and case management
- Case management services to include assessment, linkage and coordination with other service providers
- Maintaining a caseload of 30-40 clients
- Conducts comprehensive assessments, formulating diagnosis and developing treatment plans for adults with varying degrees of challenges.
- Develops and implements treatment plans
- Develops and implements risk management plans.
- Provides crisis intervention for clients, including those at high risk for suicide/homicide-under supervisory guidance.
- Evaluates risk and potential need for hospitalization.
- Maintains clinical records according to agency policies and procedures.
- Prepares and presents case presentations for clinical supervision.
- Participates in staff meetings and professional development activities. All services are provided under supervisory guidance.
- Completes written reports for the judicial system and public agencies. Consults and collaboration with other professionals and agencies, including Medicaid, probation, social services, physicians, psychiatrists and private providers.
- Participate in supportive counseling and case management in the community or in the office.
- Master’s degree in psychology, social work, counseling, or related behavioral science field
- Must be licensed eligible in the Commonwealth of Virginia
- 1-2 years’ experience providing individual/group therapy services in a human services environment
- Experience providing therapeutic services and case management to adults with mental health/serious mental illness, substance use, and co-occurring disorders
- Experience collaborating with other agencies.
- Knowledge of psychotropic medications and medically assisted treatment protocol.
- Experience providing clinical assessments and referrals
