Financial Analyst – Entry Level
Location: Chicago, IL
Comp: $68-75K/year
We are working with a prominent financial services organization to find a dedicated Financial Analyst to join their operations team overseeing their Asset & Wealth Management division in Chicago. This position provides a fantastic opportunity to advance your career in operations, where you’ll apply your due diligence expertise, support key client onboarding processes, and work in a fast-paced, collaborative setting.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Assist in the due diligence process for new and existing Third-Party Distributors and other intermediaries, ensuring thorough evaluation.
- Build your expertise in the firm’s Global Framework and develop a strong understanding of its processes.
- Take a lead role in managing the due diligence review process for Third-Party Distributors, guiding it from start to finish until the agreement is signed.
- Collaborate with internal teams to gather approvals and feedback throughout the review process.
Qualifications:
- Completed bachelor’s degree
- Interest or knowledge in financial markets and products.
- Willingness to take on special projects, including things like automation initiatives or exploring new business lines
- Ability to work closely with the Sales team to ensure smooth distributor onboarding and collaborate with different departments to get agreements finalized
- Be ready for ad hoc tasks like reviewing red flags, supporting dealer terminations, and monitoring reports
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a focus on excellent client service.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office—Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Experience or interest in Client Onboarding, Customer Identification Programs (CIP), or Know Your Customer (KYC) processes is a plus.
- Some familiarity with the structure of trading counterparts would be helpful but not required.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and a team player who can take ownership of projects and stay organized while juggling multiple priorities.
- Comfortable working under pressure in a team setting.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with an eye for detail to communicate complex ideas to internal teams.
