What are the responsibilities and job description for the Admissions-Receptionist position at PRINCESS ANNE AMBULATORY SURGERY CENTER?
Princess Anne Ambulatory Surgery Center (PA ASC) is currently searching for an experienced Admissions-Receptionist.
The Admission-Receptionist is responsible for all aspects of the patient registration process, including: verifying patient identity and selecting the correct patient record, scanning important documents, verifying and entering the patient’s demographic and insurance information in the electronic health record. During the registration process, the Admissions-Receptionist explains and completes regulatory and compliance documents and adheres to all applicable privacy and compliance standards. They also explain and collect co-payments, deposits, and outstanding balances and perform the transactions securely.
The Admissions-Receptionist is one of the first points of contact for patient and provides the first impression of PA ASC. They greet and answer questions for patients and their families during the admission process.
Knowledge of third party payers, ICD-9/ CPT coding and medical terminology preferred. Interpersonal skills necessary in order to successfully gather and exchange information in both oral and written communications with proper grammar, spelling and punctuation. Demonstrated proficiency in computer keyboarding skills required.
Position Details:
- 40 Hours/week, FULL-TIME, Monday through Friday from 8:30am to 5pm
- No Weekends, No Holidays

Qualifications:
- High School Grad or Equivalent
- 3-years current physician office or hospital experience, preferred.
- knowledgeable of health care environment, medical insurance and benefits verification
