Position Summary
Performs diagnostic cardiac and vascular testing: including 2D and M-mode Echocardiography, Transesophageal Echocardiography,
Exercise and Dobutamine Stress Echocardiography, carotid ultrasound, venous Doppler of upper and lower limbs, arterial Doppler of
upper and lower limbs, and equipment operation and maintenance.
SHIFT: 40 hours work week (4 - 10 hours shifts) includes at least 1 weekend a month; call required; 6:30am 5:00pm.

Responsibilities
Essential Functions
- Recognizes normal and abnormal vascular and cardiac documentation.
- Participates in the hospital Clinical Quality Improvement.
- Communicates openly and effectively with all team members.
- Responsible for call with 24-hour accountability when assigned.
- Maintains reasonably regular, punctual attendance consistent with Orlando Health policies, the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state
- Maintains compliance with all Orlando Health policies and procedures.
- Assists with ECG, clerical duties, and transporting of patients.
- Schedules patients for vascular and cardiac procedures.
- Demonstrates knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served on his/her assigned
- Demonstrates knowledge of the principle of growth and development over the life span and possess the ability to assess data
his/her age-specific needs, and to provide the care requirements relative to his or her age-specific needs, and to provide the care
needed as described in the units/areas departments policies and procedures.
- Demonstrates competency in contrast medication administration.
Education/Training
Education/training as required under established current American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or
Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) guidelines.
Licensure/Certification
- Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) through the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS)
- Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) through Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) and Registered Vascular
- Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS) through Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) and;
- Maintains current BLS/HealthCare Provider certification.
Formal training certification from an accredited program.
