Position Summary
Plans, organizes, develops, and directs the overall operation of the Engineering and related departments and facility safety programs in accordance with current federal, state and local regulations.
Responsibilities
Education/Training: High school diploma or its equivalent. Relevant Degree preferred
Licensure/Certification: None
Experience: Three (3) years of experience in a leadership role in a maintenance/plant related position. Must have general knowledge of facility maintenance and environmental services. Experience in Hospital Setting highly preferred.

Responsibilities
- Develops and implements departmental, security and safety policies and procedures.
- Manages the plant operations to include housekeeping and laundry functions.
- Manages all grounds and facility maintenance and repairs to ensure that the facility is maintained in a safe and comfortable manner.
- Implements the Baptist Health and Orlando Health Safety Program.
- Implements the Baptist Health and Orlando Health Security Program.
- Ensures and documents compliance with life safety regulations.
- Coordinates safety and security functions within the facility and with community partners.
- Makes written and oral reports and recommendations to the Administrator.
- Ensures that outside service providers are properly monitored.
- Develops and maintains a good working rapport with other departments.
- Develops and participates in in-service education, on-the-job training and orientation classes.
- Participates in and reports to committees as assigned.
- Manages various human resources functions including hiring, work assignments, coaching plans, and performance counseling.
- Maintains reasonably regular, punctual attendance consistent with Orlando Health policies, the ADA, FMLA and other Federal, state and local standards.
- Maintains compliance with all Baptist Health and Orlando Health policies and procedures.
- Attend workshops and seminars to keep abreast of current practices.
