Education/Training
Bachelor’s degree or higher from an approved program in occupational therapy.
Licensure/Certification
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) required.

Responsibilities
- Evaluates patients, gathering data fromthe patient, physician, interdisciplinary team meetings if available, family and significant other persons and data sources.
- Develops treatment plans which integrate with the continuum of care and identify specific goals and objectives.
- Possesses knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served onthe assigned caseload.
- Assesses data reflective of the patient’s status and interprets the appropriate information needed to identify each patient’s requirements relative to their age-specific needs, and to provide the care needed as delineated in the departmental policies and procedures.
- Competent in the use, care and maintenance of profession specific equipment, observes safety precautions and provides verbal explanations of the equipment and its purpose.
- Re-evaluates and modifies treatment plan and goals when appropriate, and prepares written documentation as required by the department, and the care team.
- Recognizes and communicates when the patient has received optimal benefit from therapy.
- Ensures accurate billing.
- Adheres to State Practice Act and Standards of Practice.
- Understands and respects age group, cultural and religious beliefs of clients, community and staff.
- Possesses excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment.
- Respects the rights and privacy of others and holds staff member information in strict confidence.
- Maintains reasonably regular, punctual attendance consistent with Orlando Health policies, the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.
- Maintains compliance with all Orlando Health policies and procedures.
Education/Training
Bachelor’s degree or higher from an approved program in occupational therapy.
Licensure/Certification
- Maintains current Occupational Therapist license in the State of Florida-temporary permit acceptable.
- Maintains current BLS/HealthCare Provider certification.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) required.
