Position Summary
Orlando Health is a 3,200-bed system that includes 15 wholly-owned hospitals and emergency departments; rehabilitation services, cancer institutes, heart institutes, imaging and laboratory services, wound care centers, physician offices for adults and pediatrics, skilled nursing facilities, an in-patient behavioral health facility, home healthcare services in partnership with LHC Group, and urgent care centers in partnership with CareSpot Urgent Care. Five (5) years of experience in building trades or energy plant operations required. Three years of experience is required if a trade or
vocational school graduate

Responsibilities
Essential Functions
- Monitors control screens and observes various meters and gauges to ensure equipment is operating properly.
- Starts, stops and switches over boilers as appropriate.
- Cleans and repairs boilers, blow tubes and discharge sediment, and pumping equipment.
- Starts and stops chillers to maintain setpoints and efficiency.
- Checks and monitors cooling towers and regulates feed water.
- Keeps appropriate logs for chemical treatment to boiler and cooling system water.
- Conducts and documents generator testing.
- Operates switchgear to regulate and transfer power loads.
- Completes assigned preventative and corrective maintenance work orders and ensures work order data is captured in TMS.
- Log all pertinent operating information and maintains records to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations and Joint
- Coordinates, conducts and documents all fire and life safety measures to include inspections and testing to ensure compliance with policies.
- Assists in training other plant engineers with energy plant operation/maintenance specific skills.
- Maintains reasonably regular, punctual attendance consistent with Orlando Health policies, the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.
- Maintains compliance with all Orlando Health policies and procedures.
