We are seeking a Test Automation Engineer with expertise in Playwright to join our team in Kakinada. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing automated test scripts to ensure the quality and reliability of web applications. The role requires strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and experience in modern test automation frameworks.
Responsibilities- Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Playwright for web applications
- Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts to validate application functionality and performance
- Collaborate with developers, QA engineers, and product teams to identify and resolve issues
- Implement and maintain CI/CD automation testing as part of the development pipeline
- Ensure test coverage by integrating automation tests into the software development lifecycle
- Analyze test results, debug failures, and report defects using bug-tracking tools
- Optimize test execution and improve testing efficiency with best practices
- Stay updated with the latest trends in test automation and Playwright framework
- 4 years of experience in test automation with a strong focus on Playwright
- Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript or any scripting language for writing automation scripts
- Experience in building and maintaining automated test frameworks
- Strong understanding of web testing, UI automation, and API testing
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps
- Experience with test management and bug-tracking tools like Jira, TestRail, or similar
- Knowledge of performance testing and security testing is a plus
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Good communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative environment
- Experience with other automation frameworks like Selenium, Cypress, or TestCafe
- Exposure to cloud-based testing platforms like SauceLabs, BrowserStack, or LambdaTest
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and working in an Agile environment
