We are thrilled to be partnering with a rapidly expanding accounting/business management firm in New York on their search for a highly qualified Accounting Manager to join their team. Our client is a well established firm with offices in New York, New Jersey, California and India.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Plan, direct, and coordinate all accounting operational functions, including General Ledger, Financial Reporting, Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable, and reconciliation of all accounts.
- Manage Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
- Forecast short-term and long-term cash flow
- Manage financial budgets, rolling forecasts, projections, and operating statements, as well as assist departments with the coordination of monthly and annual budgets.
- Evaluate financial and related systems for proper controls and accurate reporting, including recommendations for improvements.
- Financial reporting: Preparing and consolidating financial statements, writing quarterly and yearly reports, and analyzing cost variances
- Assisting with audits and preparing for audits
- Ensure business transactions are reported in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles
- Accounting for fixed assets
Qualifications:
- B.A. or B.S. in Accounting or related field of study
- Public Accounting experience a plus
- 5 years’ experience in general accounting
- High level of organization and ability to manage deadlines,
- High level of knowledge of QuickBooks a plus
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
