What are the responsibilities and job description for the ESY Autism Program Teachers- (RS, PMS AND PHS) position at Princeton Public Schools?
- Teacher wages inluded hours for planning, assessment and instruction. (time sheet is not required)
- Lesson plans will be submitted on a weekly basis before the week if instruction begins to the Special Education Supervisor.
- Individual teacher planning time provided (one planning hour for every five hours of instruction - 22.5 hrs)
- Daily student attendance must be maintained (using PowerSchool)
- Instructional hours - 4.5 hours per day over 25 days (112.5 hrs) (time sheet not required)
- Follow up with student families to encourage participation and check on attendance.
- Progress will be monitored to document maintenance of skills through the program.
- Teachers will maintain a summer portfolio and a table/chart to record data for all students in their program
- The summer portfolio will contain: pre and post assessment data; teacher comments about the student data; a final report with teacher comments about social/emotional and academic performance during the program; and a writing sample (where appropriate).
- The completed table/chart will be provided to the parents/guardians and a copy submitted to the Special Education Supervisor at the end of the program.
- A template to record data and write up conclusions will be provided. (3 hrs)
