Princeton Radiology Associates is a physician group practice providing diagnostic imaging services at 11 imaging centers and 2 hospitals throughout New Jersey and now in Pennsylvania.
Princeton Radiology Associates is currently seeking a full-time Data Entry Representative (Medical) to work in our outpatient imaging facility located in Monroe, New Jersey.
Summary of Position:
The Data Entry Representative is responsible for accurately creating patient scheduling orders into the radiology information system from electronic prescriptions. The creation of the scheduling order is then used by the scheduling staff to complete the scheduling process.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
Manage Indexing worklist throughout the day:
· Create patient scheduling order using information provided from an electronic prescription. Patient information required to be accurately keyed into the radiology information system includes: patient demographics, insurance, referring physician and radiology exam.
· Attach order to appropriate worklist
· Follow-up with referring offices if needed
· Preauthorize studies as needed for specific referring offices
· Move “junk” mail to trash
· Maintain confidentiality of all information.
· Perform other duties as required.
Qualifications:
· High School Diploma or equivalent required.
· Minimum of one (1) year of data entry experience required in the medical field preferred.
· Must be able to work Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 4:30pm.
· Demonstrated computer skills and literacy with the ability to keyboard proficiently.
· Must be detail oriented and maintain a prescribed level of accuracy.
· Ability to create an average of 95 patient scheduling orders per day.
· Ability to read, understand and follow oral and written instructions.
· Ability to maintain confidentiality of patient record information.
