Health Office Aide - Summer Tiger Club childcare
Start Date: 6/3/25-8/21/25
Hours: 7:30 am - 4:00 pm
Monday - Friday
Starting wage: $21.00/hr

As a member of the Health Office team, a Health Paraprofessional supports quality student centered care principles through performing a variety of high standard functions, within their licensure scope, to support the needs of the healthcare team and students/support network. Some duties include, but are not limited to, collecting information and detailing the student’s office visit in the school based electronic documentation system. The Health Paraprofessional is responsible to observe student conditions and perform necessary treatments/procedures in accordance to all policies, procedures and practice guidelines, promoting communication with all members of the team, maintaining complete, timely and accurate clinical documentation for each student and continually looking for opportunities to improve processes and workflow.
Health Aide will provide daliy support and assist with program supervision, check-in and check-out. You may also perform high, and low risk, technical procedures during your daily work which could include: condition observation and reporting, use of diagnostic equipment, medication administration, administration of cares per Individualized Health Plans, first-aid, CPR, and other various assigned duties per the LSN.
Exampels of various health services to students in the health office.
a) Observes student conditions and performs necessary treatments/procedures in accordance with department guidelines, procedures and policies.
b) Provides first aid and handles student illnesses and medical conditions. Assists with ankle injuring, cuts, scrapes knee injuries, fevers or other health issues under the guidance of the LSN.
c) Takes student vitals and temperatures.
d) Administers care to students in accordance with student’s individual health care plan(s) (IHP’s).
e) Notifies LSN of any health emergencies. Notifies parents to pick up an ill or injured child, or informs the parent of an illness or injury concern.
f) Dispenses overthecounter or prescription medication as per parent requests or a physician’s order. Makes sure students come in to take their daily medications.
g) Documents all medications administered. Obtains and maintains physician orders for medications,
inhalers, insulin, etc.
h) Performs other duties as assigned for Tiger Club supervisory support.
Licensure:
RN or LPN preferred
