Summary/Objective
The front desk receptionist performs routine clerical, secretarial and administrative work in answering telephones, receiving the public, providing patient assistance, and data entry. Must be reliable and trustworthy who can be part of a team.
Essential Functions
Welcomes patients and visitors by greeting patients and visitors, in person or on the telephone; answering or referring inquiries.
Optimizes patients' satisfaction, provider time, and treatment room utilization by scheduling appointments in person or by telephone.
Keeps patient appointments on schedule by notifying provider of patient's arrival; reviewing service delivery compared to schedule; reminding provider of service delays.
Responsible for Radiology Pre-Certifications and various other duties.
Comforts patients by anticipating patients' anxieties; answering patients' questions; maintaining the reception area.
Ensures availability of treatment information by maintaining electronic medical records.
Maintains patient accounts by obtaining, recording, and updating personal and financial information

Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, scanners, and fax machines.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. however there will be rotation after 90 days.
Required Education and Experience
Graduation from high school with some knowledge of medical terminology required.
Additional Eligibility Qualifications
Two years of increasingly responsible related experience, or any equivalent combination of related education and experience.
