Lineman

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Lineperson to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems, ensuring safety and compliance with industry standards. This role requires a strong understanding of both high and low voltage systems, as well as the ability to read blueprints and work effectively on construction sites. The Lineperson will play a crucial role in delivering reliable utility services while adhering to safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical lines and equipment in accordance with industry standards.
• Operate bucket trucks and other equipment safely for overhead work.
• Read and interpret blueprints to determine layout of electrical systems.
• Conduct utility locating to ensure safe digging practices.
• Utilize tools such as ohmmeters for testing electrical connections.
• Perform welding tasks as needed for repairs or installations.
• Work collaboratively with team members on construction sites to complete projects efficiently.
• Adhere to all safety regulations and protocols while on the job.

Experience

• Proven experience in working with high voltage and low voltage systems is preferred.
• Familiarity with construction site operations and safety practices is essential.
• Ability to operate rigs and other heavy machinery safely.
• Knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) is a plus.
• Previous experience in utility locating is advantageous.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $35.47 - $39.03 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
