Key Responsibilities :
- Collaborate with leadership to define agency strategies and ensure adherence to best management practices and regulatory compliance.
- Oversee the creation and monitoring of financial policies and procedures to ensure effective internal control over all financial transactions.
- Manage financial operations and lead the accounting team through financial reporting, accounts payable, payroll, billing, and cash receipts.
- Foster professional growth through coaching and development opportunities for accounting professionals.
- Direct the annual budget development process to align with organizational goals.
- Provide insightful financial analysis and prepare comprehensive reports for management and the Board of Directors.
- Support Board committees including Finance & Investment and Audit with relevant materials and insights.
- Engage with government grantors to clarify terms, processes, and reporting requirements.
- Oversee the preparation of budgets and grant-specific reports to support development efforts.
- Facilitate the annual audit process, ensuring compliance with GAAP reporting standards and internal control procedures.
- Manage the 403b plan ensuring timely compliance with 5500 filing and auditing requirements.
Qualifications :
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and Word, along with experience in Fund accounting software is required.
