What are the responsibilities and job description for the Product Manager (Web Enablement Team) position at Principal Financial Group?
We're looking for a Product Manager to join our Enterprise Experience Enablement Web Enablement product team. In this role, you'll deliver valuable and viable solutions in partnership with the product teams. This product team is responsible for accelerating progress of the enterprise customer experience and technology vision. They do this by providing enterprise web standards, guidance, and modern, reusable frameworks and solutions to enable internal business areas to expedite the creation, enhancement, and management of Principal’s web presence.
You'll have the opportunity to:
- Partner effectively with product team disciplines to define, manage and implement product strategy
- Demonstrate curiosity, flexibility, and motivation to gain exposure and experience in all phases of the product lifecycle
- Ensure relationships and dependencies with other products and teams are clearly understood; and works to integrate strategy through shared objectives
- Integrate business, customer, user, and partner insights to advise a clear understanding of problems to solve and risks to manage
- Collaborate with team to break down work so that valuable product changes are frequently released
- Make decisions to enable the team to deliver quickly. Be comfortable not having all of the answers. Make small bets and embrace experimentation
- Monitor and communicate product health, impact of product releases, and progress against product goals
- Bringing the data and insights to the table for product teams and partners to understand and consume (in collaboration with design/experience experts)

Who You Are
- 4 years of business, technology, or product management experience; or equivalent demonstrated through the following: work experience, training, military experience, or education
- 2 years experience working in a highly collaborative, fast-paced environment with engineering teams and partners
- Superb communication skills including the ability to influence and negotiate with partners at all levels of the company
- Strong critical thinking/vision and decision-making skills along with business savviness and relationship leadership skills
- Experience successfully leading multiple products and/or competing priorities
- Demonstrated experience leveraging diverse perspectives and use of customer, user, or partner data and insights to advise decisions and actions
Skills That Will Help You Stand Out
- Background and experience in UX and design systems
- Technical Product Management experience
Salary Range Information
Salary ranges below reflect targeted base salaries. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance. Actual compensation for all roles will be based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer.
Salary Range (Non-Exempt expressed as hourly; Exempt expressed as yearly)
$95200 - $182400 / year
Time Off Program
Flexible Time Off (FTO) is provided to salaried (exempt) employees and provides the opportunity to take time away from the office with pay for vacation, personal or short-term illness. Employees don’t accrue a bank of time off under FTO and there is no set number of days provided.

This role will partner with our global teams and has an expectation for flexibility in your work schedule to have a frequent start time around 8am CST.
Work Environments
This role offers in-office, hybrid (blending at least three office days in a typical workweek), and remote work arrangements (only if residing more than 30 miles from Des Moines, IA, or Charlotte, NC). You’ll work with your leader to figure out which option may align best based on several factors
