Sr Business Intelligence Analyst I- (Hybrid)

What You'll Do

We're looking for a Senior Business Intelligence Analyst to join our Data and Analytics Team in Benefits & Protection. 

This role involves converting intricate data into useful insights that leaders can easily understand and apply to their decision-making processes. You'll work closely with colleagues to advocate standard BI practices, drive innovation, and build essential data products.  

Key Responsibilities 

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and data visualizations that deliver impactful dashboards; transform complex data into clear, actionable insights  

• Research, analyze, and validate data source(s) for definitive data and completeness to feed metrics associated with Benefits & Protection  

• Partner with stakeholders to understand business strategies and objectives, then design and implement aligned business intelligence solutions to drive and measure outcomes  

• Actively participate in project teams to develop and maintain processes or systems in accordance with target dates. This may include partnering closely with Data Engineers, Data Analysts, Data Scientists, Analytics Consultants, and Product Managers as well as key business stakeholders and subject matter experts  

• Champion, promote, and drive implementation of development best practices for Business Intelligence solutions  

• Proactively explore and evaluate emerging BI tools, features, and industry trends to drive the future of business intelligence  

• Train and coach users on BI tools and self-service capabilities; promote data literacy across the enterprise  

• Ensures data governance policies are followed

Who You Are

• • Bachelor's Degree in technical or analytical field or equivalent experience 
  •  7 years of related experience required.  
  • Demonstrates in-depth knowledge in an analytics subject area, acquired through education and proven work experience.  
  • Experience using Power BI or other business intelligence applications (e.g Domo, Looker, Qlik, Tableau, SiSense, SAS, Business Objects)  
  • Experience working with different on-prem and Cloud SQL data sources (e.g. Snowflake, AWS Athena, SQL Server, Oracle, DB2)  
  • Ability to communicate with various levels of leadership  
  • Ability to coach and review work of team members  

  Skills That Will Help You Stand Out  

  • Demonstrable experience in developing BI solutions while advocating for innovation, consistency, and best practices within the team  
  • Advanced expertise in Power BI   

 

Salary Range Information

Salary ranges below reflect targeted base salaries. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance. Actual compensation for all roles will be based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer.
Salary Range (Non-Exempt expressed as hourly; Exempt expressed as yearly)

$106400 - $144400 / year
Time Off Program

Flexible Time Off (FTO) is provided to salaried (exempt) employees and provides the opportunity to take time away from the office with pay for vacation, personal or short-term illness. Employees don’t accrue a bank of time off under FTO and there is no set number of days provided.

This role offers in-office, hybrid (blending at least three office days in a typical work week) from Des Moines, IA.
