Principal is seeking a dedicated Sr. Data & Analytics Consultant to join Principal Asset Management as part of our Real Estate Investment (PrinRE) team, which manages over $100 billion in assets. This individual will be a key contributor to strategically aligned initiatives, co-creating new and innovative products with the potential to shape the industry. What you will do in this role:
- Collaborate with investment management professionals, research, and technology partners to identify, scope, and implement strategic opportunities using data and applied mathematics at scale
- Coordinate and prioritize requirements across multiple teams allowing for clear deliverables to be understood by all contributing partners in the product.
- Develop domain expertise for internal data and with various external vendor data.
- Establish agile framework, provide mentorship, scrum support and manage ceremonies to ensure consistent updates and feedback loop on projects
- Serve as a channel of communication within PrinRE with all stakeholders and partners.
- Work closely with seasoned investment professionals, engineers, and other partners to scale our research platforms to support the needs of our clients.
- Build and maintain metrics, reports, analyses, and dashboards to drive key business decisions. Create visualization and dashboard design to measure success and influence operation practices for reporting and enable the team to scale.

Who You Are
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience. Studies related to statistics/mathematics, engineering, predictive analytics, or data science is a plus
- 5 years of related analytics, consulting, project management experience preferred
- Understanding business concepts, tools, and processes for sound decision-making in Commercial Real Estate.
- Knowledge of Business Analytics technologies, techniques, and practices for the evaluation of business performance data; ability to analyze business performance using statistical methods to support and drive future business planning decisions.
- Ability to influence across and above through establishing credibility, active listening, collaborating and innovating, with a strong desire to continuously learning and adapting.
Skills That Will Help You Stand Out:
- Commercial Real Estate or capital market research exposure a plus
- Cloud computing platform experience (AWS)
- Experience with development tools and methods used by engineers
- Familiarity with visualization software such as Quicksight, PowerBI, and web applications development tools like Dash
- Familiarity with systems engineering
Salary Range Information
Salary ranges below reflect targeted base salaries. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance. Actual compensation for all roles will be based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer.
Salary Range (Non-Exempt expressed as hourly; Exempt expressed as yearly)
$106400 - $144400 / year
Time Off Program
Flexible Time Off (FTO) is provided to salaried (exempt) employees and provides the opportunity to take time away from the office with pay for vacation, personal or short-term illness. Employees don’t accrue a bank of time off under FTO and there is no set number of days provided.
