In this role, you’ll provide strategic direction and leadership over multiple key technologies and services including Content Management, MFT (Managed File Transfers), and Workload Scheduling. The IS Platform organization is a dynamic space focused on Principal’s modernization and cloud journey, through adapting technology to meet our customer and stakeholders needs. A leader in this space must be capable of driving organizational change, be passionate about fostering a culture of diversity and safety and be comfortable working in an agile and product centric team.
With this role you will have the opportunity to:
- Be a Technology Engineer Leader with job accountabilities centered around HR Leadership, Team Performance, Technology, Vendor Management, Strategy, Culture, and Service Modernization.
- Play the role as capability owner for multiple large and critical enterprise IS technology services including:
- Managed File Transfer
- Content Manager/OnDemand
- Workload Scheduler
- Have responsibility for setting strategy and direction, defining technical roadmaps, driving business deliverables, capacity planning, forecasting, and budgeting.
- Be a modernization and Cloud migration advocate, leading multiple initiatives to build or host applications in the Cloud/AWS.
- Manage, coach and develop staff and promote individual development. Create high performing teams.
- Manage vendor relationships for multiple key software partners (IBM, Fortra, etc.)
Who You Are
We are looking for someone with:
- Associate's or bachelor's degree (preference in a computer science, technology, engineering or math-related field or equivalent experience) and 6 years work experience or equivalent experience.
- 4 or more years of related technical experience in an enterprise environment.
- Formal Leadership experience is required.
- Experience supporting engineers with technical and business problems, solutioning architectural issues and planning by engaging and influencing stakeholders at all levels.
- Adaptable, flexible, innovative, influential, collaborative and can learn from experiences and setbacks.
Salary Range Information
Salary ranges below reflect targeted base salaries. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance. Actual compensation for all roles will be based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer.
Salary Range (Non-Exempt expressed as hourly; Exempt expressed as yearly)
$95200 - $182400 / year
Time Off Program
Flexible Time Off (FTO) is provided to salaried (exempt) employees and provides the opportunity to take time away from the office with pay for vacation, personal or short-term illness. Employees don’t accrue a bank of time off under FTO and there is no set number of days provided.
