Sr. Strategist, Insights Marketing

What You'll Do

Principal Global Insights is looking for a diligent marketer and creative problem solver to join our team and help transform the way Principal Asset Management goes to market in support of our clients. The Insights Marketing Senior Strategist, will work closely with the Global Insights team members to execute on the strategy, manage the content development, and create, implement and optimize marketing activation plans.

Responsibilities will include:

• Create, position and develop of thought leadership content that aligns with the strategic direction of Global Insights global marketing initiatives.
• Operate as a messaging specialist and advocate for creating differentiated, insightful content that highlights Principal Asset Management’s investment expertise and capabilities.
• Coordinate investment teams, market strategy and product management, while working closely with the marketing communications and channel marketing teams, to implement and prioritize strategic projects.
• Partner with channel and segment marketing teams to design, develop and implement cross-channel marketing plans to activate thought capital with global target audiences
• Leverage digital communication platforms including web, social media, and email marketing, while working with regional marketing teams to activate content, as appropriate.
• Consult regularly with sales and distribution teams to present new ideas and make recommendations about future deliverables, ensuring the timeliest topics and investment themes are being addressed by Global Insights content.

Who You Are

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent
• 9 years' work experience in a financial services organization, in marketing, communication or related field, required
• An inherent interest and knowledge of the financial markets, investing, products and investment strategies
• The ability to understand and drive the creation of economic and investment related marketing and communication strategies across the various platforms
• Build and maintain strong relationships and negotiate with senior partners

• Must be detail oriented and have excellent planning, and time management skills
• Manage expectations, attend to details, handle multiple projects, and prioritize effectively

Salary Range Information

Salary ranges below reflect targeted base salaries. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance. Actual compensation for all roles will be based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer.
Salary Range (Non-Exempt expressed as hourly; Exempt expressed as yearly)

$123000 - $167000 / year
Time Off Program

Flexible Time Off (FTO) is provided to salaried (exempt) employees and provides the opportunity to take time away from the office with pay for vacation, personal or short-term illness. Employees don’t accrue a bank of time off under FTO and there is no set number of days provided.

Work Environments

This role offers in-office, hybrid (blending at least three office days in a typical workweek), and remote work arrangements (only if residing more than 30 miles from Des Moines, IA, or Charlotte, NC). You’ll work with your leader to figure out which option may align best based on several factors.
