Principal Manufacturing is seeking a Project Manager to join our team in Broadview, IL. As a leader in fineblanking, conventional stamping and plastic injection molding, Principal Manufacturing sets itself above the competition.
The Project Manager will coordinate and manage new projects to ensure on time completion and production launch. Manage various departments' activities to prioritize actions that minimize risk to on time launch of new products. Manage inter-departmental meetings (APQP, tooling design reviews, etc.) and report projects progress.
Major Duties And Responsibilities

The Project Manager will coordinate and manage new projects to ensure on time completion and production launch. Manage various departments' activities to prioritize actions that minimize risk to on time launch of new products. Manage inter-departmental meetings (APQP, tooling design reviews, etc.) and report projects progress.
Major Duties And Responsibilities
- Timely reporting (internal and external) on current projects timelines and KPI's.
- Support of sales efforts through communication and customer contacts during the quotation, bid submittal, P.O. receipt, tooling design & build, and new product launch.
- Maintain accurate BOM's and routings.
- Internal ECO management/follow up/reporting.
- Support for current tooling and manufacturing processes.
- Update ERP (Plex) with program status, key dates, responsibilities assignments, create and enter BOM and routing.
- Participation and coordination of manufacturing process design and project implementation timelines, including active participation in APQP process.
- Participation and coordination of tool design and build process.
- Active participation in quotation process, as necessary
- Associate (2 year) degree in management, engineering, quality or sales.
- PMP certification or 3 to 5 years in a program manager role.
- Previous manufacturing experience
- Strong MS Project skills. Effective computer skills including Excel, MS Word, Powerpoint, and Outlook.
- Effective communication skills with various/multiple departments.
- Able to lead meetings, stay focused on agenda and document results, actions, responsibilities, etc.
- Able to creatively help internal and external customers as required. Will need to work with scheduling both internally and externally (vendor management) as it relates to projects, resource allocation, and material management.
