This position is responsible for sourcing, attracting, and interviewing prospective associates that align with the company's mission, vision, and core values. The ideal candidate will enthusiastically connect with others and understands that people are critical to the success of the business. This role will be responsible for the day-to-day recruiting-related processes within two manufacturing and warehouse facilities. Builds and maintains trusting and collaborative relationships at every level of the organization in order to achieve its functional objectives.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
Talent Acquisition Strategy
  • Collaborate with HR leadership to develop and execute a talent acquisition strategy aligned with company goals and workforce needs.
  • Lead initiatives to define and enhance our employer brand, including representing the company at job fairs, industry events, and community outreach programs.
Recruitment and Sourcing
  • Design and implement innovative sourcing strategies to attract top talent for plant and corporate roles.
  • Build and maintain a pipeline of qualified candidates through networking, partnerships, and proactive outreach.
  • Develop recruitment strategies that prioritize diversity and inclusion to build a more equitable workforce.
Selection Process and Candidate Assessment
  • Partner with hiring managers to create tailored job profiles and define role-specific evaluation criteria.
  • Develop and oversee a structured, fair, and efficient selection process to ensure the best hiring decisions.
Candidate Experience
  • Ensure a positive and seamless candidate experience throughout the talent attraction process.
  • Design and communicate compelling narratives about the company’s culture, values, and career opportunities.
Metrics and Reporting
  • Develop and track recruitment metrics to measure the effectiveness of sourcing and hiring efforts.
  • Present regular updates and insights to leadership on hiring progress and challenges.
Technology and Systems
  • Stay updated on emerging recruitment technologies and trends to improve processes.
  • Manage and optimize applicant tracking systems (ATS) and other recruitment tools.
  • Manage and comply with all employment laws and regulations.

  • Develop hiring practices that celebrate diverse perspectives and create an equitable workforce.
Create an Unforgettable Candidate Experience
  • Make every candidate’s interaction meaningful, engaging, and reflective of PBE’s values.
  • Share compelling stories about who we are and why we love what we do.
Measure & Optimize
  • Track recruitment metrics to continuously improve our hiring process.
  • Stay ahead of the game with the latest tools and tech to enhance efficiency.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in HR, Business Administration, Marketing, or comparable experience.
  • Five to seven years of recruiting experience, ideally with a mix of agency and in-house roles. Manufacturing experience? That’s a bonus!
  • Experience with HR and Applicant Tracking systems, social media platforms, and Microsoft Office.
  • Work Management - demonstrated ability to be successful multi-tasking environment, effectively manage time and resources to ensure that work is completed efficiently.
  • Initiative - takes prompt action to accomplish objectives; proactively works to achieve goals beyond what is required.
  • Customer Focus - builds collaborative relationships; takes action to meet internal customer needs and concerns; Sets up feedback systems.
  • Communication - clearly conveys information and ideas through a variety of media to individuals or groups in a manner that engages the audience and helps them understand and retain the message; comfortable creating content for training and presentations to groups of all sizes and levels.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to sit, walk, and stand; talk or hear, both in person and by telephone; use hands repetitively to finger, handle, feel or operate standard office equipment; reach with hands and arms; and lift up to 30 pounds.
Travel up to 10% (primarily local).
