Job Title: Supply Chain Analyst
Job Summary:
The Supply Chain Analyst will play a crucial role in improving demand analysis and ensuring accurate supply planning within the organization. This role involves preparing and maintaining a rolling 12-month forecast, conducting comprehensive demand analysis, and collaborating cross-functionally to align demand and supply. The analyst will work closely with key stakeholders to ensure data-driven decision-making, minimizing supply chain risks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Demand & Forecast Analysis: Conduct in-depth analysis of direct and indirect contracts to evaluate customer purchasing trends and deviations from forecasts. Adjust future forecasts accordingly to minimize overstock and stockout risks, collaborating with the supply planning team to ensure accuracy.
- Forecast & Usage Monitoring: Review and monitor customer usage data against monthly forecast expectations. Identify significant shifts in purchasing patterns and communicate potential impacts on production schedules, inventory levels, and lead times. Focus on the top 10 product families monthly and review other products quarterly.
- Usage Review & Root Cause Analysis: Analyze root causes of overbuying and underbuying by customers. Identify trends impacting forecast accuracy, conduct monthly reviews for top-tier customers, and quarterly reviews for smaller accounts to refine forecasting models.
- 12-Month Forecast Management: Maintain, update, and distribute a rolling 12-month forecast that reflects current customer demand and future projections. Ensure forecast accuracy, share insights with relevant teams for production planning, inventory management, and decision-making. Proactively adjust forecasts based on market or customer shifts to align with strategic goals.
- Customer Bid & Purchase Analysis: Evaluate customer bids to determine whether awarded bids lead to actual purchases. Analyze success rates by customer and product to improve forecast accuracy and optimize bid strategies.
- Support Customer Service: Collaborate with Customer Service to address overbuying scenarios, determining if incremental quantities can be released based on current and projected supply levels.
- Inventory & Short-Date Reporting: Generate weekly excess inventory reports to minimize destruction and profit loss. Provide monthly short-dated inventory reports to specific customers, enabling proactive purchasing decisions.
- Seasonal Usage Analysis: Conduct quarterly reviews of customer purchasing patterns to evaluate long-term impacts on forecasting, manufacturing schedules, and delivery timelines. Adjust supply plans to ensure continuous improvement in supply chain efficiency.
- Additional Responsibilities: Undertake tasks and projects as assigned by the Associate Director of Supply Chain to support departmental goals and objectives.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree required.
Experience:
- Preferred: Experience with SAP, advanced Excel, and Access.
Skills:
- Strong analytical skills, especially in demand analysis and forecasting.
- Ability to translate data insights into actionable supply chain adjustments.
- Excellent communication skills for effective cross-functional collaboration.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, Power Query, etc.); SAP experience is a plus.

Pay: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
