Job Title: Distribution Manager
FSLA Status: Exempt
Department: Warehouse and Logisitics
Reports to: Plant Director
Department Supervisors: Receiving, Shipping and Warehouse
SUMMARY
The Distribution Manager will be responsible for the processing and verification of pulled materials, mail verification and ship outs. They will work in conjunction with the Receiving Supervisor, Logistics Coordinator, Shipping Supervisor, Warehouse Supervisor and the Plant Director to ensure we have an efficient and accurate warehousing processes. They will work directly with the Plant Director to ensure efficient labor usage.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
This list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities, as management may deem necessary from time to time.
1. Responsible for the safe and efficient storing and delivery of received and completed materials.
2. Responsible for integrity of Inventory system
3. Responsible for verifying pull requests match production needs
4. Communicate with Customer Service/Sales and Production on an as-needed basis to ensure timelines and schedules are met.
5. Follow all QC and PMC policies and procedures. (See Employee Handbook and QC Manual).
6. Responsible for communicating with the Plant Director repair needs material handling equipment.
7. Responsible for ensuring equipment PM’s are done quarterly and consistently.
8. Responsible for ensuring we have a safe and secure shipping, warehouse and receiving department.
9. Responsible for ensuring the restock process is done timely and accurately.
10. Responsible for ensuring the material disposition is followed.
11. Responsible for assisting CS and Production in the researching of inventory discrepancies.
12. Coordinate with Receiving Manager on labor sharing needs.
13. Responsible for training and maintaining a cross trained team capable of handling daily demands.
14. Coordinate with Receiving Manager and Production Departments to ensure daily commitments are met.
15. Coordinate and manage Shipping department. Including mail, ship outs, Fedex/UPS pickups, commingle pickups and equipment deliveries and ship outs.
16. Create/Install and Maintain SOP’s for department and department personnel. Including QC measures.
17. Learn and Maintain WindowBook operations and training
18. Coordinate with Production and USPS for coverage needs.
19. Follow all clean-up and housekeeping procedures.
20. Comply with all quality, safety and work rules and regulations.
21. Other functions vary as Management deems necessary.
QUALIFICATIONS

Education and/or Experience:
Candidates must be at least 21 years old and have one year of continuous work history in the last three years. Manufacturing experience (such as laborer, machinist, assembly, down piling, or bindery) is preferred.
English Language Skills:
Ability to read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to effectively communicate information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees of the organization.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
