1st Pressman for Harris M300, M600 and Goss web
Department: Pressroom Reporting to: Pressroom Manager and Pressman
First Shift: (6am to 2pm) Needs to be flexible to work 12-hour shifts and 2nd shift from 2pm to 10PM. Paid for lunch time.
Pay is between $30 -$35
Job Purpose:
The purpose of the Web Press Operator is to operate and maintain the Harris M300 Press.
Keeping the printing press in optimal condition and using the automation and technology provided to endure quality output.
Main Duties and responsibilities:
- Operate Harris M300, M600 & Goss Press and other presses as scheduled.
- Maintain equipment, troubleshoots equipment problems.
- Performs prescribed preventative maintenance on equipment as required.
- Make adjustments as required to return output to the proper specifications.
- Accepts and receives supervision and assistance regarding machine setup.
- Tracks and records all consumables and through put of equipment.
- Keep color profiles necessary for consistency and calibration.
- Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean orderly condition.
- Follow prescribed safety regulations.
- Performs prescribed preventative maintenance on machines as required.
- Communicates status of jobs to department manager and or floor supervisor.
Requirements:
- Experience with Harris M300, M600 and Goss web printing presses.
- Ability to read and comprehend job tickets and customer specifications.
- Ability to communicate effectively with other employees of the organization.
- Excellent attention to detail including color perception and recognition.
- The employee is regularly required to stand.
- Proficient in the use of email communication and proper use of production logs.
- Able to commit to overtime and weekend work when requested or scheduled.
