A collator operator is responsible for operating and maintaining collating machines. They print addresses and barcodes on mailers using software like Microsoft. Daily safety inspections are conducted on equipment, and routine maintenance is performed as scheduled.
Quality control inspections are done during production, alerting management to deviations and making necessary machine adjustments.
They ensure the quality of products throughout the production process and maintain inventory of supplies.
The operator also performs routine maintenance and troubleshooting to meet production standards.
They have experience with cutting, drilling, tabbing, laminating, wiring, stitching, folding, and poly-wrapping.
Collator operators set up machines per job specifications, produce quality products, and prepare them for shipment.
They also operate and maintain Nale - MICR imprinting machines and Hamilton Hi-line Collator with Tamarack Integrated Label Machine.
The operator compiles and completes paperwork for processed work and conducts quality checks.
