Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Data Entry Specialist to join our team for a short-term project. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately inputting and managing data related to our inventory, including material numbers, descriptions, and photos. This role requires strong attention to detail, proficiency in data entry and spreadsheet software, and the ability to organize and prioritize tasks effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
Inventory Management:
- Conduct a physical inventory of materials.
- Create and maintain detailed spreadsheets to track item numbers, descriptions, quantities, and other relevant information.
- Utilize pivot tables and other spreadsheet functions to analyze and organize data effectively.
Data Entry:
- Accurately input material numbers, descriptions, and other information into our database.
- Cross-reference the spreadsheet with the database to ensure consistency and accuracy.
Photo Sourcing:
- Locate and organize high-quality photos to accompany each material entry.
- Use image editing software (e.g., Photoshop) to optimize photos for web use.
Repository Building:
- Create a well-structured and easily searchable repository of materials within our website's content management system.
- Categorize and tag materials for efficient retrieval.
Data Validation:
- Ensure data accuracy and consistency throughout the project.
- Conduct regular data quality checks to identify and correct errors.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Proficiency in data entry, spreadsheet software (e.g., Excel), and basic computer skills
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Basic knowledge of image editing software (e.g., Photoshop) is a plus
Job Types: Part-time, Contract
Pay: $14.00 - $17.50 per hour
Expected hours: 20 per week
