Printpack, a leading manufacturer of flexible packaging products is seeking a qualified candidate to fill the position of Planner Analyst for the Film plant in Grand Prairie, TX reporting to the Materials Manager. Minimum Requirements: High School Diploma or GED Proven relevant work experience of 1 to 3 years is required Strong computer skills including a working knowledge of MRP and application programs including Excel, Word, and Access are a must Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills, and analytical and problem-solving skills are also required Preferred Requirements: Bachelors degree with 1-2 years experience or an Associate degree with 3 years experience in a job-related field An APICS certification (CPIM, CIRM, or CSCP) Printpack systems (JDE) knowledge Two years of manufacturing experience Key Responsibilities: Review material specifications and raw material requirements for each order for completeness and accuracy. Manage the plant’s level of investment in Raw Materials and monitor the effectiveness of the investment by focusing on reducing days on hand and aged / obsolescence Allocate and/or purchase raw material substrates to meet order requirements as needed. Analyze and process all order changes. Demonstrates effective interactive skills to support production and scheduling activities related to meet customer needs/requirements, supplier commitments, and divisional/corporate goals. Collaborate with other Printpack divisions/plants to work off aged and unallocated materials. Ability to communicate effectively and collaborate internally and externally. Closely monitor the plant’s MRP report / system to ensure all short term and longer term Raw Material requirements are covered. Work very closely with all Raw Material suppliers regarding what material is needed and when. Coordinate the receipt of all Raw Materials and verify the availability of Raw Material substrates to meet the daily production schedule requirements. Review all supplier acknowledgements in a timely manner against open purchase orders for accuracy; and maintains purchase order files.
