General Job Function
Nursing Team Members must be dedicated to supporting the mission of Priority Care Pediatrics, LLC: Priority Care Pediatrics provides essential and compassionate healthcare to our community. These individuals are responsible for providing high-quality, safe patient care and support within the organization. Nursing Team Members collaborate with other healthcare professionals throughout the organization to support the patient’s needs. This position reports to the Nurse Manager and Nursing Supervisor in conjunction with the support of the Director of Operations.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
1.Conduct patient assessments, including health histories as needed.
2.Prepare patients for examinations by providing necessary instructions and ensuring comfort.
3.Address patient inquiries, concerns, or needs effectively.
4.Document patient interactions and care provided accurately in the EHR.
5.Provide support in the development and implementation of individualized patient care plans as directed by the Provider.
6.Assist Providers during examinations and procedures.
7.Administer medications, immunizations, and treatments as prescribed within the individual’s scope of practice, while monitoring for side effects and effectiveness.
8.Educate patients and their families on treatments, procedures, and other various healthcare topics as needed.
9.Perform and document vital signs, lab tests, and other diagnostic procedures as ordered within the scope of practice for the individual team member, ensuring accuracy and compliance with protocols.
10.Prepare various specimens for analysis from outside laboratories.
11.Evaluate provider schedules to enhance workflow efficiencies and ensure comprehensive patient care.
12.Recognize and respond appropriately to emergent incidents ensuring patient safety.
13.Coordinate with physicians and other healthcare professionals, facilitating referrals and follow-up appointments as needed.
14.Maintain a clean and safe clinic environment, adhering to infection control and safety protocols.
15.Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to team meetings and training sessions.
16.Stay current and comply with company policies and procedures.
17.Maintain required emergency response certifications (i.e. PEARS and BLS).
18.Maintain professional licensures and/or certifications (i.e. RN, LPN, MA).
19.Stay current with training requirements.
20.Support new employees in adapting to their roles and responsibilities within the clinic.
21.Precept and train new employees on clinical procedures, protocols, workflows, and best practices as assigned.
22.Monitor medical supplies and restock as needed to ensure clinic operations run smoothly.
23.Other job duties as assigned.
Qualifications
1.Minimum license requirement: EMT license issued by the state of Missouri. MA, LPN, or RN Missouri licenses are also accepted.
2.Pediatric experience preferred, but not required. Patient care experience required.
3.Reliable transportation.
4.Electronic medical records experience preferred but not required
5.Employees are required to comply with Priority Care Pediatrics Employee Immunization Policy.
6.Employees are required to maintain CPR/BLS. Priority Care Pediatrics
