Location: Orange, NJ (Client’s Residence and Community Activities)

Rate: $18-$22/hour

Job Overview:

We are looking for a caring and bilingual (English/Spanish) Direct Support Professional (DSP)

to support a 28-year-old male client in Orange, NJ. This role focuses on promoting the client’s

independence, cultural growth, and personal goals while assisting with physical and social

needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Cultural Support:
  
  
  

Help the client learn about Puerto Rican culture and Spanish through engaging

activities.

• Social Media Assistance: Assist with creating, editing, and posting videos on Instagram and TikTok.
• Personal Care: Help with transferring in and out of a wheelchair, toileting, and other hygiene tasks.
• Community Integration: Accompany the client to events and ensure transportation is wheelchair accessible.
• General Support: Build trust, encourage independence, and document daily activities. Qualifications:
• Holds a high school diploma or equivalent; a degree or relevant certifications in human
  
  
  

services, psychology, social work, or a related field are a plus.

• Fluent in English and Spanish.
• Familiarity with Puerto Rican or Hispanic culture (preferred).
• Experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities.
• Basic knowledge of Instagram, TikTok, and video editing tools.
• Physically capable of assisting with mobility tasks.
  
  
  

Schedule and Environment:

• Work primarily at the client’s residence.
• Flexible hours, including occasional weekends for community outings.
