Position Summary
Priority Envelope is a leading manufacturer and supplier of custom envelopes made for the direct marketing and transactional mail industries. We have an immediate need for 3rd shift Machine Inspector / Operators at our facility located in Nevada, Iowa.
The 3rd Shift Machine Operator is an entry level position that works Sunday thru Thursday from 11pm to 7am (plus OT as scheduled) and earns $20.00 per hour ($17.00/hr plus a $3.00/hr shift differential). The Machine Operator is responsible for final inspection and packaging envelopes for shipment. The position requires lifting, stacking, and computer software entry.
The Inspector / Machine Operator is responsible for operating converting equipment by following all standard work to
job specifications in an accurate, timely and safe manner.

- Produce, inspect, pack and stack envelopes to job specifications and standard work.
- Performs quality checks, inspect job samples and completes sign offs.
- Maintain production records, equipment logs and computer software entry accurately and timely.
- Assemble and disassemble carton supplies throughout job run per job specifications.
- Clear jams, restart machinery and roll tend on converting equipment (at higher machine operator levels).
- Monitor and ensure safety compliance as well as good housekeeping, including replenishing, washing, cleaning, organizing, and disposing of waste items.
- Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
- One to three years manufacturing or packaging-based work experience.
- Strong skills in math and ruling; attention to precision and detail and a desire to achieve customer satisfaction
- Demonstrated openness to process improvement and change
- Good attendance and punctuality and willingness to work overtime as needed
Salary : $17 - $20
