Full-time Teller Position: Priority First Federal Credit Union is looking for an energetic, friendly and dependable individual to fill immediate full-time teller position primarily for our DuBois location.
Other locations include: Brockway, Brookville, Clearfield and Punxsutawney.
JOB SUMMARY - Employee that will accurately & efficiently perform in a professional environment and will provide personable, quick service performing a set of regular procedures, as well as a variety of member requests & transactions, including, but not limited to: check cashing and deposits, loan payments, product explanation and being able to identify opportunities to refer members as needed. Employee will clearly & respectfully communicate with members and have ability to resolve member issues as they arise.
QUALIFICATIONS - To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty with consistent accuracy. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
- Greet members with a smile.
- Receives checks and cash for deposit, verifies amount, and examines checks for endorsements.
- Cashes checks and pays out money after verification of signatures and customer balances.
- Enters members' transactions into computer to record transactions, and issues computer generated receipts.
- Balances currency, coin, and checks in cash drawer at end of shift and compares totaled amounts with data displayed on computer screen.
- Recognizes opportunities to explain and promote financial products or services offered by the credit union.
- Removes deposits from, and counts and balances cash in, night depository.
- Accepts loan payments.
- Resolve members' issues as they arise.
- Maintains current knowledge of and adheres to the BSA policy
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS - Ability to read and interpret documents such as procedures, operating and maintenance instructions, and security procedures. Ability to communicate clearly and respectfully communicate with members or coworkers. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS - Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.
REASONING ABILITY - Ability to apply common sense to perform assigned duties and understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
OTHER SKILLS - Displays an eagerness & ability to learn, efficiently use the technology provided, and is receptive to new ideas
