Specific duties for the MDS role includes:
- Primary role is to conduct and coordinate the Resident Assessment Instrument (RAI) that is the Minimum Data Set (MDS).
- Conduct Care Assessments (CAAs) and Care Plans in accordance with State and Federal requirements.
- The MDS nurse participates as part of the facilities Interdisciplinary Team (IDT) to manage patients care.
