What are the responsibilities and job description for the Guidance Counselor/ Mental Health Clinician position at Priority Placements, Inc?
Priority Placements is seeking a Guidance Counselor/ Mental Health Clinician to provide direct support and instruction to students in our K-6 program (some time with 7-12th grade). This will be provided with small group instruction (generally 2-5 students) teaching social skills and life skills needed to be a successful student/person (communication, motivation/engagement, mindfulness, coping strategies, and more!). Candidate will provide staff support as well around meeting student needs. Candidate will support student outings in the community during class times and with scheduled field trips and take part in program meal times (as does all staff). Candidate will report to Administrators and work in collaboration with special educators. Candidate must be reliable, collaborative, consistent, engaging, and professional.
This position has potential to start this spring or summer as well.
