Priority Waste (www.prioritywaste.com), headquartered in Clinton Township, Michigan, provides waste hauling services. Our company has experienced rapid growth since its founding in 2018. This growth has allowed us to continually expand our workforce. The Company operates out of several facilities, including two transfer stations. Priority Waste maintains a diversified platform providing service to both municipal solid-waste, construction and demolition customers. Through our yellow fleet of residential, roll off, and front load trucks and containers, Priority Waste makes the customer experience our #1 priority.
Job Purpose
In your role as an LDC, Logistics Driver Coordinator, you will need to utilize strong technology and phone skills as a key member of our logistics team. The new logistics team comprised of LDCs will drive enhancements in both our customer experience and driver experience by providing real time logistics support in a dynamic environment.
Duties and Responsibilities
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Compiles carrier and route assignments
- Collaborates and communicates with logistics technicians, customer service representatives, quality personnel, and others involved in the waste removal cycle
- Performs assigned processes to meet the required daily logistics activities safely and efficiently
- Tracks, traces, and updates the status of daily waste removal routes
- Successfully conducts and completes all assigned trainings
- Participates in continuous improvement training and assists with training drivers
- Oversees waste storage areas, waste documentation, equipment, and procedures
- Provides additional backup support for drivers and customer service
- Responds to and resolves complaints and problems
Qualifications
The successful candidate profile includes:
- Good communication and organizational abilities
- Excellent communication and people skills
- Familiar with laws, regulations, and ISO requirements as they apply to logistics
- Good computer skills, especially working knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software
- Good decision-making skills
- Drives a culture of “Do It Safe, Do It Right the First Time” with actions and words daily
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
