Job Summary: The VP of Transactional Risk is a leadership role responsible for managing risks related to ACH, Wires, and the Integrated Commerce Engine (BAAS) platform. This leadership role requires a deep understanding of regulatory, legal, financial, and operational risks associated with the various transactions and activities. The role works closely with other leaders, executives, legal, compliance and external stakeholders to ensure the company’s transactions are strategically sound and compliant with regulatory agencies. Additionally, this role is responsible for the alignment of risk tools, risk approaches, and risk strategies across the enterprise.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Lead and manage transactional risk strategies across business lines.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including legal, accounting, and executive leadership to assess and mitigate losses.
- Develop and implement risk management frameworks, policies, and procedures for handling transactional risks.
- Own risk management for ACH across all of Priority’s lines of business, Payables, and the integrated commerce engine (BAAS).
- Responsible for the lifecycle of the ACH transaction, initiation, collection, and recovery when necessary.
- Implementation of risk and operating processes for all new initiatives involving the ACH, Payables, and Banking as a Service business lines.
- Evaluate cross organizational practices and drive communication with other internal risk departments to maintain a standardized experience for customers using multiple payment types.
- Manage risk mitigation / remediation for any exception events (fraud / transaction issues) and drive process improvements to improve mitigation efforts.
- Develop people and enhance internal processes, with the ability to think through and implement strategy.
- Collaborate with leadership to develop a set of operating standards to drive department and strategic initiative effectiveness and impact.
- Work with Client Service, Sales, and Relationship Management teams to analyze errors, quantify impact, identify root cause, and work with appropriate departments to minimize such errors, and drive revenue.
- Lead continuous process improvement, employee development and optimization efforts across all areas of Commercial Business Operations. Foster bottoms-up participation in process improvement from all levels of Priority Technology Holdings.
- Leverage data analysis to improve the team’s performance and identify opportunities to influence product development priorities.
- Identify the people, process, and technology capabilities required to deliver desired client experiences, and then work with appropriate Priority team(s) to implement.
- Serve as Subject Matter Expert in internal and external client / sales meetings.
- Own strategic quality assurance and performance management initiatives.
- Encourage the development of skills covering the subjects related to each team member.
- Inspire others, leading by example, and instill the ethos of operational excellence.

MiNIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- 8 years of Bank operations or related experience.
- 5 years of Payments industry experience.
- 5 years of progressive experience managing large teams.
- 5 years of Risk management, preferred.
- Bachelor’s Degree.
- A combination of training, education and experience that is equivalent to the qualifications listed above and that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Compensation range: $130,000 - $140,000
