Job Summary
Working along side about 4-5 other employees . Tasks are as any other busy store , provide top notch customer service, speedy service , learn the menu and the proper weights for sandwiches. we do a lot of sandwic platters and cold cut platters . store is very clean all new equipment so help keep it that way.
Duties
- Prepare and serve deli items, including meats, cheeses, salads, and sandwiches to customers.
- Ensure adherence to food safety guidelines and proper handling of food products.
- Maintain cleanliness of the deli area, including equipment, utensils, and work surfaces.
- Assist customers with their selections, providing knowledgeable recommendations and answering questions about products.
- Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently while providing excellent customer service.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during peak hours.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with restocking as needed.
- Follow all company policies and procedures related to food preparation and service.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a quick service fast food restaurant or grocery store is preferred but not required.
- Strong understanding of food safety practices is essential.
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a busy environment.
- Ability to work well in a team-oriented atmosphere while also being self-motivated.
- Experience with cash handling is a plus.
- Basic culinary skills or knowledge of kitchen operations is beneficial.
- A friendly demeanor with strong communication skills to interact effectively with customers.
- Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds and stand for extended periods.
