This Approved Private Special Education Program provides a 10-month plus ESY compassionate educational experience for children with autism (ages 3-14) in a warm, fun, and nurturing environment. Teaching procedures are based on the science of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) where every child receives an individualized program to reach their full potential.
Summary: The Special Education Teacher is an integral part of a dynamic, collaborative team of teachers and Behavior Analysts who are responsible for designing and implementing lessons that nurture students’ growth and development through their Individualized Education Programs. The team provides ongoing supervision and training of assigned paraprofessional staff. Educational effectiveness, interdisciplinary collaboration, and communication skills are required of the Special Education Teacher.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Assessment and Intervention Planning: Conduct assessments relevant to the student’s educational performance and communicate assessment results in written and oral formats. Design, implement, and systematically monitor, and modify as needed, skill-acquisition, behavior reduction, and generalization programming based on assessment results and data, within all domains of the IEP.
Staff Supervision: Serve as primary supervisor for all techs, both formally assigned techs and informally all techs for all aspects for the technician job description. Provide ongoing technician training using BST model during clinical oversight hours and thereafter as needed.
General Case Management: Regularly communicate learner progress/barriers and staff progress/barriers to School Administrators
