Cannabis Compliance Manager – Job Description
The Cannabis Compliance Manager is responsible for monitoring customer activity using cannabis-specific software and communicating compliance requirements with customers. This position will relate to Cannabis Related Business (CRB) clients directly via telephone, email, or chat.

Essential Functions
- Assist clients by determining needs and referring them to the correct staff personnel.
- Collect and review legal documentation for Prism Bank cannabis customer applications before account opening and tracking expiration license dates in cannabis software.
- Log, update, and maintain cannabis software.
- Ask open-ended questions to engage customers in compliance requirements and expectations.
- Field customer questions, inquiries, and all general customer-related questions.
- Demonstrate excellent phone manners.
- Reviewing application business documentation and cannabis licenses for CIP purposes.
- Manage cases in cannabis software.
- Monitor and prepare compliance reviews and Suspicious Activity Reports.
- Meet compliance deadlines and filing timeframes.
- Provide the Customer Care Center with the required information on closed accounts.
- Provide Universal Bankers with client profile updates.

- Perform other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience
- High School diploma or equivalent
- One year of management experience required
- One year of banking experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of the Bank Secrecy Act with an emphasis on Customer Identification Program requirements
- Knowledge of cannabis banking compliance preferred
- Cannabis Banking Certification preferred
Reporting
This position reports to the Compliance and Risk Officer.
Supervisory Responsibility
This role supervises the Cannabis Compliance Assistants.
Work Environment
This job operates in a clerical, office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a Full-Time position with typical working hours of Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Remote Tusedays and Fridays. Hours and work shifts may change in accordance with business needs.
