The successful Electrical Engineer is an individual who is able to successfully prepare cost estimates for purposes such as planning, organizing, scheduling, and winning new work. The successful candidate will be able to analyze blueprints, construction drawings, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, material, and labor estimates while consulting with clients, vendors, personnel in other departments, or construction supervision to discuss and formulate these cost estimates and resolve issues.

Responsibilities:
- Consult with clients, vendors, personnel in other departments or construction supervision to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issues.
- Analyze blueprints, construction drawings, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates.
- Prepare estimates for use in selecting vendors or subcontractors.
- Confer with engineers, designers, owners, contractors, and subcontractors on changes and adjustments to cost estimates.
- Market to general contractors, designers, and owners.
- Provide cost alternatives while preserving the intent of the design.
- Utilize the latest science and technologies to offer state-of-the-art electrical designs and installations.
- Prepare estimates used by management for purposes such as planning, organizing, and scheduling work.
- Prepare cost and expenditure statements and other necessary documentation at regular intervals for the duration of the project.
- Conduct special studies to develop and establish standard hour and related cost data or to effect cost reduction.
- Review material and labor requirements to decide whether it is more cost-effective to construct, pre-fabricate or sub-contract components to obtain maximum effectiveness.
- Prepare and maintain a directory of suppliers, contractors, and subcontractors.
- Establish and maintain tendering process, and contract negotiations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

- Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering
- Proven resource management and critical thinking skills

- Working knowledge of latest technologies and engineering practices
