General Description :
The lead medical assistant will demonstrate clinic leadership skills with the other medical assistants. Specifically, they will be assigned training duties, work in conjunction with other medical assistants. Providers and Clinic Manager to positively impact patient care and clinic operations.
Responsibilities
Specific Responsibilities of the Job :
- In conjunction with Clinic Manager will develop and implement training programs and materials for other Medical Assistants, interns and students.
- Will function as primary trainer for onboarding and competency verification of Medical Assistants.
- Functions as the lead trainer and demonstrates proper use of medical equipment used in the office. Will also function as the trainer to explain and educate procedures.
- Assigned as Superuser for workflow process
- Fully competent and lead trainer on escribe, prior authorization, billing and referrals.
- Maintains accurate and timely documentation of all activities performed.
- Responsible for inventory management of supplies, ordering and expiration logs.
- Other duties as assigned.
Direct Reports :
Indirectly leads and works with other Medical Assistants.
