PRISM is seeking a highly skilled Asset Management Specialist MID to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining cutting-edge network solutions that drive our organization forward. Job Summary : The Asset Management Specialist is responsible for the effective tracking and control of service assets within the IT infrastructure. This role collaborates closely with configuration analysts to train and support SACM staff in understanding SACM principles, processes, and procedures. Key Responsibilities :
- SACM Process Development : Assist in the creation of SACM processes, activities, and procedures, including CI registration procedures, access controls, and privileges.
- IT Asset Procurement and Management : Assist with procurement of IT assets when requested. Collaborate with other SACM roles to tag, track, and identify the location and owners of all IT assets.
- Asset Delivery and Setup : Receive IT assets, ensure their delivery to correct locations, and coordinate IT asset setup and teardown activities as needed.
- CI Identification : Propose or concur with the SACM Manager on unique naming conventions for CIs. Ensure that developers and configuration system users adhere to these identification standards.
- Configuration Management System (CMS) Population : Liaise with the Configuration Librarian on populating the CMS with asset and configuration data.
- Configuration Audits : Perform configuration audits to verify the consistency between physical inventory and the CMDB / CMS. Initiate corrective actions through Change Control.
- Baseline Management : Accept baselined products from third parties for distribution and build system baselines for promotion and release.
- Reporting and Documentation : Maintain project status information, status accounting records, and reports. Assist the SACM Manager in report definition as required.
- License and Warranty Management : Maintain and reconcile databases containing information regarding licenses, warranties, and service agreements for the organization's hardware and software. Qualifications :
- Clearance : Active DoD Secret
- Experience : Minimum of four (4) years of experience using Department of Defense Logistics and Asset Management Systems (e.g., Remedy, DPAS, GCSS-MC).
- Skills : Strong understanding of IT infrastructure and configuration management principles. Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with various stakeholders.
- Certifications : (Optional) ITIL or other relevant certifications.
