A day in the life of an Accounting Associate:
- Responsible for various accounting and close-related support
- Ensure accounting files are completed and maintained accurately and consistently
- Ensure accurate receiving of inventory by matching invoices with purchase orders
- Reconcile shipping invoices and request credit when necessary
- Collect and reconcile employee expense reports
- Compile, sort, and scan invoices and checks
- Assist with processing weekly and bi-weekly check runs
- Submit regular bank deposits
- Work with adding machines, calculators, databases and bank accounts
- Collect and distribute mail as requested
- Maintain vendor contact files
- Process regular insurance refund
- Work with adding machines, calculators, databases and bank accounts
- Assist with researching, tracking, and resolving accounting problems
- Protects organization’s value by keeping information confidential
- Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities
- Perform other various projects as assigned by the Accounting Coordinator and VP of Finance.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures regarding employment, safety and compliance and report any concerns of non-compliance in any area to your manager immediately.
Education/Experience/Knowledge Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Strong computer skills, including intermediate use of Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint
- Work requires continual attention to detail in composing, typing and proofing materials, establishing priorities and meeting deadlines
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to juggle multiple competing tasks and demands
- Must be able to interact and communicate with individuals at all levels of the organization
Preferred Education/Experience/Knowledge:
Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- 1 – 3 years of experience in clerical accounting or bookkeeping
- Medical (DMEPOS) industry background
- Great Plains
- Noble House
Physical Requirements:
- In an 8 hour day the employee lifts/carries 10 LBS frequently.
- In an 8 hour day the employee stands/walks 1 hour.
- In an 8 hour day the employee sits 7 hours.
- In an 8 hour day the employee drives a car/truck 0 hours.
Travel Requirements:
Percentage of travel expected to be 5% or less on an annual basis
