As a Business Systems Representative, you’ll play a pivotal role in delivering excellence while navigating the fast-paced, ever-evolving landscape of IT. Your work will help to support the Business Systems Department with helpdesk tickets and projects related to technology
A Day in the Life...
A Day in the Life of a Business Systems Professional
- Computer set ups; take downs, moves – coordinated by BSM. New Laptop set ups – installs necessary software; VPN set ups on existing laptops and new ones moving forward;
- Act as help desk agent for systems issues; Analyze and evaluate computer, phone, printers, scanners, and or other network issues; will work with local and remote users to solve application and or connectivity issues;
- Assist with new user set-ups in Prism EMR and assisting with terms, moves, and edits of users in EMR; EMR password management;
- Provide hardware/software technical support; this includes investigating problems with equipment and applications as they occur and identify resolutions; this also includes cable management in Elkin locations;
- Set-up and take-down training room configuration for training and/or conferences; Conference Rooms issues related to IT; VariDesk management – including moves and setup;
- Past, present, and future inventory controls to all technology equipment. Logs and tags user information belonging to that machine; responsible for keeping detailed records of equipment;
- BSR is expected to have a clear understanding of Prism Technology standards and be performance minded;
- Expected to notify direct supervisor of any system issues or technical problems;
- Demonstrate professional integrity as it pertains to confidential information regarding user passwords and or profile information.
- Will maintain a positive attitude that enhances the organization’s reputation and growth by accepting ownership of existing and new technology products/processes; should always be ready to improve and change as the client and business requires.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures regarding employment, safety and compliance, and report any concerns of non-compliance in any area to your manager immediately.
Education and Qualifications:
- High School Education Required
- Associates Degree or higher; concentration in Technology discipline(s).
- Experience with setup, repair, and maintaining networks; knowledge and experience with remote work environments; VoIP phone management systems
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to handle fast paced environment and multi task
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Excel, Word, and Access
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written
