Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist them in finding products that meet their needs.
- Process transactions accurately using the cash register and handle cash with care.
- Utilize retail math skills to manage inventory and assist in stock management.
- Engage in upselling techniques to enhance the customer shopping experience.
- Maintain a clean and organized sales floor, ensuring merchandise is displayed attractively.
- Provide excellent customer service by answering questions and resolving issues promptly.
- Supervise junior staff when necessary, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve sales goals and improve store performance.
- Learn mix procedures and tint products with accuracy.
- Learn the basics of paint technology, including color matching, primers, stains, and decorative painting techniques.
Experience
- Previous experience in retail sales or customer service is preferred.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential for success in this role.
- Familiarity with cash handling procedures and basic math skills is required.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Experience with supervising or training staff is a plus but not mandatory.
