JOB DESCRIPTION
The Program Manager oversees the Safe House Program by managing and implementing the daily operations and programming of the Prism Project safehouse. Participates in the plan of care requirements and activities for residents. Oversees Social Service Worker, Education Specialist, Program Developer, Program Coordinator, and Direct Care Coach Supervisor.
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Salary: $28-30/hr, 32 hrs/week. Weekly salary based on fixed number of hours, determined in Job offer.
Benefits: 80 hours of annual paid vacation time awarded after 90 days from hire date. Can be rolled over year to year.
Reports to the Executive Director.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Implement the day-to-day operations of the institution for ensuring compliance with State CCI rules and regulations.
- Oversees the 5 lanes of programming- Education, Therapy, Medical, Life Skills and Spiritual care, by coordinating with different departments and giving constructive feedback.
- Attend new resident intake meetings.
- Attend weekly interdisciplinary team meetings and evaluations and coordinate care with the interdisciplinary team based on care requirements.
- Participate in training opportunities, supervision, and other meetings as required by Prism Project.
- Coordinate program needs with DCC supervisor to maintain safe staff ratio as per licensing requirements for the State of Michigan
- Work closely with the Program Developer for quality control and implementation needs.
- Work closely with HR Coordinator and participate in the hiring and onboarding process of new staff, including orientation.
- Help develop and facilitate staff training as needed.
- Identifies Program needs, and communicates needs to the program development team.
- Assists in development and maintenance of the program.
- Provide instructive, supportive leadership to the Administration Team.
- Provide performance management to the Administration Team.
- Provide direction to Prism Project staff as problems and concerns arise.
- Develop, review, and revise policies and procedures to align with regulatory agency requirements and trauma informed practice as directed by the Executive Director.
- Keeps excellent communication with the Executive Director about the needs of the program.
- Coordinates with Social Service Worker and is part of residents care planning.
- Supports the Executive Director as needed.
- Maintain organization compliance by implementing state licensing, program contract, and accreditation requirements.
- Serve as the liaison between the Safe House Program and its regulatory agencies by submitting referral responses, reports, census data, and other required information via MiSACWIS.
- Provide support, problem solving, and crisis management services during daily events, critical incidents, and emergencies.
- Be able to work a flexible schedule, which may include evenings, overnights, weekends and the rotating on-call schedule as required.
- Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; and participating in professional organizations.
- Protect resident confidentiality, use sound judgment, and maintain professional boundaries at all times.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in social work or related field required. Master’s degree preferred.
- Child Caring Institution residential experience preferred.
- Computer skills including Google Suite, Microsoft Word and Excel with the ability to learn new programs.
- Ability to solve problems, make decisions, resolve conflicts, and listen.
- Ability to deal calmly in crisis situations.
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills with the ability to maintain confidentiality. Excellent organization, planning, and verbal and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of community resources.
- Ability to be flexible.
- Knowledge of principles and techniques of training and supervision strongly preferred.
