What are the responsibilities and job description for the Staff Accountant position at Prism Resources?
Prism Resources connects corporate talent with top South Florida companies. Our client is a fast growing, retail-based company with a nationwide footprint and have been in business for over 20 years. They are looking to hire an Accountant to work closely with their Corporate Controller in completing various full-cycle accounting tasks as well as handle the processing of payroll.
What you'll be doing:
- Perform all A/R related duties- Enter invoices and receive payments
- Prepare cash disbursements and AP for approval and processing
- Prepare month-end journal entries for approval and post journal entries into general ledger
- Process multi-state payroll
- Handle monthly reconciliation of all intercompany accounts
- Perform monthly reconciliation of general ledger accounts to subsidiary ledgers (accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets)
What you'll need:
- 3 years of corporate accounting experience
- Associate's degree in accounting is required. Bachelors degree preferred
- Experience processing payroll
- Experience using QuickBooks and ADP is preferred
- MS Office, especially Excel is required
