A Day in the Life of an Equipment Repair and Appliance Technician could include:

· Troubleshoot, identify problems, and repair fire and water restoration equipment, including dehumidifiers, blowers, air scrubbers, hydroxyl/ozone generators, water extractors, etc.

· Read equipment manuals and understand how the equipment operates.

· Use a multi-meter to troubleshoot electrical problems.

· Inventory equipment and record model numbers, serial numbers, and take pictures using an iPad.

· Remove and/or replace equipment parts as needed.

· Test equipment and document final test result

· On-site evaluation of damaged electronics from insurance claims involving fire, water, or lightning strike damage

· Create an inventory report, remove and transport electronic items and appliances from the insured’s home or business

· Disassemble and evaluate electronic items to be cleaned, serviced, and/or repaired

· Test, clean, restore, and reassemble electronic items to pre-loss condition

· Deliver and reinstall appliances and consumer electronic items within the insured home or business

· Comfortable working on-site in post-peril (fire, floods, etc.) environments

· Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds during pick-up and delivery activities

Prism Specialties specializes in the restoration of electronics, art, textiles, and documents for residential and commercial insurance claims.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 38 – 50 per week
